ToneKing Gremlin Gold Pin Retube Kit

This kit contains a JJ KT66 for the power section, and two Gold Pin JJ ECC83S for the preamp. This retube kit will give the amp a smoother and creamier breakup. Gold Pin tubes lack the grit or "hair" on the tone that you get with the non-gold pin tubes. This kit comes with the JJ KT66, but you can configure it to use the JJ 6L6GC, or almost any other power tube. Click the "Customize" button for more options.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two power tubes. These are available in the "Related Products" tab as a set and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are cathode biased amps so the power tubes are plug and play... no biasing required!
