Want a really rich and smooth tone with less grit? This is our Standard Retube Kit for the Rivera 55 and 60 watt amps including the Chubster 55, the R55, the Fandango 55, the Quiana 50, the M60, the Suprema 55, the Knucklehead 55 and Knucklehead K Tre 55 and the Sedona acoustic amp. The preamp section uses five Gold Pin ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V5. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ Electronic E34L’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 6L6GC's, the JJ 5881's, the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located farthest from the input jack in V5.

If your amp is the combo version and you have chosen to use the JJ 6L6GC's then please let us know in the comments section and we will ship your kit with the special Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge which will greatly reduce any tube rattle. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. For all other tubes such as EL34’s, KT77's and 6CA7's, we recommend using our EuroDamper rings. These are available under the "Related Products" tab and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are all adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab. Any of the Rivera amps that came with 6L6's can also use EL34 type tubes.
