Orange Thunderverb 50 Standard Retube Kit
Product Details

Looking for more warmth and definition? This is the Standard Retube Kit for the Thunderverb 50. The preamp section uses two standard ECC81's for the FX loop and for the reverb driver along with four JJ ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ Electronic E34L's which are very tight and punchy with more extension in the low end. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34II's, EL34’s, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s! Checkout the the customize page for more details on these options.

The two ECC81's are located in position 4 and 5 in the back row. The Balanced ECC83S is located in position 6 in the back row farthest from the input jack.

These are all adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab.

You can use the "Generic Bias Video" we made using a Marshall 800 for reference.

The video below explains the difference between bias probe types.
