Looking for more warmth and definition? This is the Standard Retube Kit for the Line 6 Spider Valve 40 Combo Amps. The preamp section uses two ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V2. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC's but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881's by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V2 farthest from the input jack.

All 6L6GC Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms. If you choose to go with the JJ 5881's you might want to consider using a pair of our large tube damper rings.

These amps are adjustable bias. All you need to check and set the bias is a Multimeter. These are available under the "Related Products" tab.
