These amps are adjustable bias. If you use the HK shunt method all that's necessary is a Multimeter. A more accurate and far easier method is to use one of our octal bias probes with a Multimeter, or our all-in-one octal "Pro One" bias probes (which reads plate voltage and plate current simultaneously). These are available under the "Related Products" tab.

6L6GC's should bias up to between 34 to 40 mA per tube.
The JJ 5881's are a 23 watt tube and should bias up to between 31 to 36 mA per tube.
