Want all the gain you can get? This is our High Gain Option Retube Kit for the Fryette Memphis 30 Heads and Combo Amps. The preamp section uses five handpicked High Gain ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V6 along with a standard ECC83S for the reverb driver in V5. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ Electronic EL84’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL844's for a little earlier breakup by clicking on the "Customize" button!


          

The Balanced High Gain ECC83S is located in V6 closest to the power tubes and the standard ECC83S is located in V5.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the four EL84’s. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four small dampers and will greatly decrease tube rattle.


These are cathode bias amps so both the EL84's and EL844's are plug and play.
