Fender 59 Bassman Reissue SRV Option
Product Details

If Stevie would have played a 59 Bassman he probably would have used the V1 tube he liked most which is a 5751. The SRV Retube kit includes a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC's, a GZ34 rectifier tube, a 5751 for V1 and two ECC83S preamp tubes with one of them balanced for the phase inverter in V3.

When ordering please leave a note in the comments box on the checkout page to let us know if you have the original 90's reissue or the new LTD because the 90's amps are fixed bias and need hotter power tubes.

Tube location info: The Balanced ECC83S is located in V3 closest to the power tubes and the 5751 is located in V1.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

The first 59 reissue amps were fixed bias with no adjustment. The later reissue and LTD amps are adjustable bias and all you need to adjust the bias is a multimeter. These are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the HRD bias video for reference. We typically bias 59 Bassman's RI/LTD's between 70-90mV with the JJ 6L6GC's. The bias pot and test point are located inside the chassis.

We typically bias the 59 Bassman RI/LTD between 70-90mV at the test point.
