Want to make your 57 twin sound more like a vintage original? This is our Standard Retube Kit. It uses four ECC83S's to replace the 12AX7's and the kit includes two JJ 5U4GB rectifier tubes and the default power tubes are the JJ Electronic 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Tube location info: The preamp tubes can be installed in any order, these amps use a split load phase inverter.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

All you need to adjust the bias on a 57 Twin is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias 57 Twins between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's.
