Looking for more warmth and definition? This is the standard Retube Kit for the Vox Night Train. It contains a matched pair of JJ EL84's for power and two ECC83S's. A nice upgrade from the stock tubes, sweet and warm!

Just let us know in the comments section if you're looking for an early breakup, a moderate breakup or a later breakup for more headroom in which case we will choose the coolest grades we have available for the power tubes.

These amps use a cathodyne phase inverter so no need for a balanced PI tube.

These amps are cathode biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84’s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).
