Do you like FAT mids and a lot of high end sparkle? This is our ECC803S Option Retube Kit for the Splawn Quick Rod KT88 Model Amps. The preamp section uses two JJ Long Plate ECC803S for V1 and V2 for a little lower gain with big thick mids and a little more sparkle in the highs along with two ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V4. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ Electronic KT88’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 6550's for a little earlier breakup by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located closest to the power tubes in V4 and the two ECC803S's are located in V1 and V2.

These are all adjustable bias amps and all you need to check and adjust the bias is a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. You can find all these under the Related Products Tab.

You can use the "Generic Bias Video" we made using a Marshall 800 for reference.
