Want a great clean channel and more gain in the lead channel? This is our Normal Clean - High Gain Lead Option Retube Kit for the Orange AD30TC and AD30HTC. It contains a matched quad of JJ EL84's for power, a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube and one standard ECC83S and one standard gain balanced tube for the clean channel and two handpicked High Gain ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverters in the lead channel.

Just let us know in the comments section if you're looking for an early breakup, a moderate breakup or a later breakup for more headroom in which case we will choose the coolest grades we have available for the power tubes.

The Balanced ECC83S's is located in V3. The High Gain balanced ECC83S is located in V4 and the High Gain ECC83S is located in V2.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If your amp is the combo version and you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the four EL84’s and the GZ34. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four small dampers and one large damper for the GZ34 and these will greatly decrease tube rattle. ** Note; the wire tube retainers will not fit all the way over the damper rings.

These amps are cathode biased, there is no bias adjustment to be made. The amount of clean headroom you’ll get from the power section is somewhat dictated by the grade of power tube used. A cooler grade of EL84’s will give you more clean headroom, whereas a warmer grade will give you earlier breakup. If you order online, leave us a note in the comments section letting us know your headroom preference (max headroom, middle of the road or early breakup).
