Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace High Gain Option

Need all the gain you can get? This is our High Gain Option Retube Kit. It includes three handpicked High Gain JJ ECC83S's for V1 through V3, a standard ECC83S for V4 and a balanced ECC83S for the phase inverter in V5.

The default power tubes are the JJ Electronic E34L's which are very tight and punchy with an extended low end. With the Customize option you can configure this kit to use the JJ EL34’s, EL34II's, KT77’s or Big Bottle 6CA7’s. Checkout the the customize page for more details on these options.

This kit does not come with a replacement rectifier tube. If you'd like to add one you can use the Customize option and select either a JJ GZ34 or 5U4GB. We do not automatically include a replacement rectifier tube because we've found that most players use the silicone diode mode exclusively. When you're in the silicone diode mode the rectifiers filaments are connected but the tube itself is bypassed.

V1 is located physically closest to the input jack on the front panel. The remaining positions go in numerical order with V5 being physically farthest from the input jack.

V2=ECC83S High Gain
V3=ECC83S High Gain
V4=ECC83S Standard
V5=ECC83S Balanced

These amps are fixed bias with no adjustment.

All our Mesa Retube Kits include power tubes that are hand selected to run perfectly in Mesa amps. We have extensive hands-on experience measuring the fixed bias points in these amps and what grade of tubes will achieve optimal performance.
