Marshall DSL 401 Low Output Low Gain Option
Product Details

Love the clean channel but you want to tame the Drive channel? After experimenting with these amps we found that using a JJ ECC823 in V1 will do just that! It leaves the clean channel as is and tames the Red channel down. An ECC823 for V1, two standard ECC83S’s for V2 and V3 along with a balanced ECC83S for V4. This kit contains a matched quad of JJ EL844's to drop the overall output a couple decibels for the power section.

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V4 closest to the power tubes and the ECC823 is located in V1.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the quad of EL844's. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a set of four and will greatly decrease tube rattle.
When setting the bias for JJ EL844's it needs to be set between .600 to .750 for EL844’s. All you need is a Multimeter.

Below is the Marshall bias guide which you can use ONLY for reference.
