Want the Low Gain kit but you want it really smooth? This is the Gold pin Low Gain kit for a Prosonic Combo and includes a JJ GZ34, a pair of JJ 6L6GC's in a cooler grade to get the Class A bias just right, a Standard Gold Pin ECC83S's for V1, V3 & V5. 1 Gold Pin ECC832 for V2 to drop the gain and a Gold Pin ECC81 for V4 and a balanced Gold Pin ECC83S for the phase inverter in V6. A supper sweet smooth tone!!

Tube location info: The Balanced gold pin ECC83S is located in V6 closest to the power tubes, the gold pin ECC832 is located in V2 and the standard gold pin ECC81 is located in V4.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

All you need to adjust the bias on a Prosonic is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the "Generic JCM800" bias video for reference. While the Prosonic is quite different, the process and tools are identical. We typically bias Prosonic's in the A/B mode between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's. The bias pot is located inside the chassis.
