Gold Pin Option for Fender Prosonic Combo with a JJ GZ34, a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC's in a cooler grade to work well in the class A mode, a standard ECC81 to replace the 12AT7 and five Gold Pin ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V6. Smoother, richer, less grit... Very nice!

Tube location info: The Balanced Gold Pin ECC83S is located in V6 closest to the power tubes and the standard Gold Pin ECC81 is located in V4.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

All you need to adjust the bias on a Prosonic is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the "Generic JCM800" bias video for reference. While the Prosonic is quite different, the process and tools are identical. We typically bias Prosonic's in the A/B mode between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's. The bias pot is located inside the chassis.
