Product Details

Stevie notoriously used a 5751 for a V1 tube. This creates a subtle reduction in pre amp gain which allows you to hear more power tube distortion at higher volumes. The SRV kit is for either a Blackface or Silverface Fender Princeton without reverb that uses a 5U4 rectifier tube. The kit includes a JJ 5U4GB, a matched pair of the JJ 6V6S's one standard ECC83S for V2 and a 5751 for V1.

The 5751 is located in V1 farthest from the power tubes.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two 6V6S’s and the 5U4GB. These are available in the "Related Products” tap as a set of three and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These amps are fixed bias with no adjustment.
