EL34II

The JJ EL34II is a modern replacement for all EL34 applications. We received our first EL34II samples in September of 2014 for testing and we were all amazed that JJ could come up with yet another variant that has it’s own sound and distinct place in the already heavily populated EL34 family. The EL34II’s are fuller sounding with more emphasis in the low mids than the standard EL34, but not as “in your face” and aggressive as the JJ E34L. If aggressive, tight and punchy is what you want the E34L is King. The EL34II is a perfect choice for players who love  a traditional EL34 sound but need to fill out the low mids and low end without losing any upper mid and high end crunch or definition.

Special note to Marshall players: The JJ EL34II has been Marshall’s OEM EL34 for many years. If you’re looking to maintain the stock performance of your JVM, DSL, Studio Vintage/Classic, Origin, etc. this is the tube you need.

After a 24 hour burn in all power tubes are tested for noise and matched at multiple operating points for plate current (± one milliamp) and transconductance. Please leave us a note in the comments section as to what amp they’re going into and or if you’re looking for a specific grade.
