ECC99 Gold Pin

The JJ ECC99 Gold Pin offers a smoother and more relaxed overall sound than the standard pin version. The JJ ECC99 is a unique high current, high transconductance, double triode design. They’re recommended for use as a driver for power triodes like the 300B and 2A3. They also work well in the output stage of headphone amps, preamps, and CD players. This tube is used in the JJ high end Hi-Fi amps.

For the guitar amp builders, the ECC99 makes a fantastic reverb driver. Use it traditionally with a step down transformer and low Z tank, or cap couple (direct drive) for high Z tanks.

For most standard driver/input applications our standard selection is suitable. For stereo or parallel driver applications refer to our matched triode and current balanced selections.

All our preamp tubes are stringently tested for noise and microphonics using Amplitrex testers driving an external amp. There is no extra charge for low noise and microphonics testing like with other tube vendors. If a tube does not pass our strict performance criteria it’s tossed or sent back to JJ Electronic for evaluation.
