E83CC Gold Pin (12AX7)

This is the Gold Pin version of the JJ E83CC which is a Frame Grid style High quality, low noise replacement for any 12AX7 type tube. These are available with current Balanced triodes for phase inverter use and Balanced and Matched in pairs or multiples.

Historically Telefunken and Tesla were the only manufacturers to offer a frame grid style 12AX7. We’re elated to see JJ tackle this tube, and the results were worth the effort. Expect a ruler flat sonic presentation, firm/fast dynamics, and maximum clarity. The Gold Pin version has a slightly softer and creamier overall sound.

All our preamp tubes are stringently tested for noise and microphonics using Amplitrex testers driving an external amp. There is no extra charge for low noise and microphonics testing like with other tube vendors. If a tube does not pass our strict performance criteria it’s tossed or sent back to JJ Electronic for evaluation.
