The Gold Pin JJ 12BH7-A is based on the same construction as the standard 12BH7-A. The internal components go through additional selection and processing during assembly making them a bit richer and smoother sounding.
The Gold Pin JJ 12BH7-A is a High quality, low noise replacement for any 12BH7 type tube. These are also available with Balanced sections, and matched in pairs or multiples.
The JJ 12BH7-A is uniquely built in JJ’s small noval envelope size. This helps to significantly reduce microphonics without sacrificing performance. Ideal for vintage Ampeg SVT’s, or anywhere low noise and low microphonics are critical.
All our preamp tubes are stringently tested for noise and microphonics using Amplitrex testers driving an external amp. There is no extra charge for low noise and microphonics testing like with other tube vendors. If a tube does not pass our strict performance criteria it’s tossed or sent back to JJ Electronic for evaluation.
