Emission Labs produces some of the finest Directly Heated Triodes we’ve found. From the onset, EML has positioned themselves as an innovator while also maintaining a firm respect for the vast and deep history where audio and vacuum tube technology merge. EML was the first modern vacuum tube producer to reintroduce the 45 (2000), while simultaneously reviving the mesh-plate 300B (introduced by AVVT and continued by EML in 2001).
EML continues to push the limit with high power DHT’s like their 1605, while reintroducing unique tubes such as the RS242, and 4V series of power triodes (AD1, PX4, PX25). In this way, EML strikes a balance of innovation, extreme attention to detail, durability, and heritage.

Handcrafted in the Czech Republic, EML has few peers in the world of DHT tube manufacturing.
Many of the industry’s top amplifiers and linestages (Thrax, Trafomatic, Tron, Yamamoto, Triode Labs, etc.) have adopted EML as an OEM supplier. This is a true testament to EML’s performance and durability. Additionally, EML has become a staple in the exotic and extreme world of DIY audio. The best systems in the world are often painstakingly built from the ground up, where every length of wire, resistor, transformer, tube, woofer, horn, etc. are selected to suit the listener’s preferences. This exact environment is where our relationship with EML began.
While consulting on a local PX25 SET project we had a chance to work with some of EML’s latest offerings. This sparked a conversation with Jac Van de Walle, the proprietor of Emission Labs. After some discussion we both agreed that Eurotubes would be a good fit as EML’s official North American “West Coast” dealer.
We took more than a year to test, audition, and generally abuse all of EML’s major offerings. This included the design of two custom SET amplifiers. One based around their 300B offerings, and the second using the PX25 and 30A driver tube. We also managed to squeak in a special linestage using their proprietary 20B. With excellent results all the way around, we are excited to present you with EML’s catalog.
Ordering Information
When you’re dealing with tubes at this level it is expected that you are familiar enough with your gear to understand which EML tubes can be used, if your amplifier/component requires a bias adjustment to accommodate the desired tubes, and or if there’s filament supply variables to deal with. In this regard any designs using active constant-current filament supplies should be adjusted for the new tubes. This would include the popular Coleman and Tent Labs supplies.
If you’re looking at rectifier tubes it is crucial that any given power supply design falls within the max limits of the tube type. For instance, it should be observed that a power supply designed around a 5U4GB could easily exceed the limits of a 5U4G. This means that in some instances substituting a 5U4G in place of a 5U4GB could result in either short term or long term damage to the 5U4G.
All in all, you should treat your EML glass with the same care and attention as you would if it were filamentary types from Western Electric, Marconi, Cunningham, or the like. These tubes deserve the utmost respect, and your attention to detail will be rewarded with exceptional playback and longevity.
Lastly, we are here to help you. If you need technical support on any of the aforementioned topics please do not hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help you as much as your skills allow. From basic sonic questions to support on power supply design, biasing, etc., we’re here for it. Please use us as a resource first. No question is too small. In the rare case of a warranty situation you will be asked to verify the operating condition of the tube in question.
Eurotubes is an official Emission Labs dealer. All EML tubes purchased through Eurotubes come with an automatic 1-Year (2,000hrs) warranty, and are eligible for the factory registered 5-year warranty.
