The EML 20B is part of Emission Labs original driver series of DHT’s which include the 12B, 20B/20AM, 30A, and the newly released RS242. Do you dream of building a DHT line stage or an all DHT power amp? Maybe a DHT one-tube-amp, or same-tube Sakuma style circuit? If so, you’re looking in the right place.
The 20B has a voltage gain of 20x with an Rp of 3K5 at 30mA (350V B+), which makes it both an excellent output stage driver and a great medium impedance voltage amplifier.
EML’s driver series of of DHT’s have an incredibly articulate, airy, fast, and accurate timbre, giving them a very natural and unrestrained overall sound.
The 20B in functionally comparable to a single section 6SN7, and at higher currents (25-40mA) is our favorite tube for a DHT linestage when mated with a 4:1 or 8:1 output transformer.
All Emission Labs tubes are inspected and tested in-house before shipment. All EML tubes are shipped in factory packaging, with factory test results, as well as our in-house test results.
