The EML 2A3-S is a plug-and-play direct replacement for the original RCA 2A3 tube. The 2A3-S is built with a mono-plate rated for 28W, along with a 400V max plate voltage rating. This allows the tube to be used at a wider range of operating points, with possible power output levels nearing 2x the original RCA design.
The 2A3 tube has long been regarded as one of the fastest and most accurate sounding DHT’s. Eschewing bloom and euphonics for articulation and clarity. The EML 2A3 emphasizes those characteristics, along with increased reliability and longevity.
All Emission Labs tubes are inspected and tested in-house before shipment. All EML tubes are shipped in factory packaging, with factory test results, as well as our in-house test results.

EML 2A3 comparison:
The 2A3M is EML’s mesh-plate variant. These are plug-and-play compatible with any classic 2A3 design. As with all the mesh-plate variants we expect an improvement in detail, air, and space. The 2A3M is no exception. If you’re looking for the most open and transparent sound from a 2A3, this is it. Please note the 2A3M has an 18W/350V max plate rating. This exceeds the original RCA 2A3 specifications, but should be respected when interchanging with the 2A3-S.
