ECC803S (Long Plate 12AX7)

The JJ ECC803S is a very long plate classic European style tube. Sonically they have thick mids and a little more high end than the ECC83S. These are ideal anywhere a slight mid push and added chime is desirable. Great in input stages or in all positions in vintage amps. Also available with current Balanced triodes for phase inverter use and Balanced and Matched in pairs or multiples.
Compared to the ECC83S, these tubes are cleaner and spankier with more of a vintage vibe.
All our preamp tubes are stringently tested for noise and microphonics using Amplitrex testers driving an external amp. There is no extra charge for low noise and microphonics testing like with other tube vendors. If a tube does not pass our strict performance criteria it’s tossed or sent back to JJ Electronic for evaluation.
