Looking for more warmth and definition? This is our standard Retube kit for the Carr Sportsman. This kit contains two ECC83S's for V1 and V3 and two ECC81's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V4. The power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6V6S’s.

The Balanced ECC81 is located in V4 closest to the power tubes and the standard ECC81 is located in V2.

Combo amps are very hard on tubes because of vibrations which can cause tube rattle with any brand of tube. If you play by yourself in a quiet environment or record with your amp you may want to consider using the EuroDamper tube damper rings for the two 6V6S’s. These are available in the "Related Products” tab as a pair and will greatly decrease tube rattle.

These are cathode bias amps so the power tubes are plug and play.
