Looking for more warmth and definition? This is our Standard Retube kit for the Bugera V55 Heads and Combo Amps. It contains three JJ ECC83S's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V3. The default power tubes are a matched pair of the JJ 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button!

The Balanced ECC83S is located in V3 closest to the power.

If your amp is the combo version then please let us know in the comments section. All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

The non-Infinium amps are adjustable bias and they do have test points. Unfortunately Bugera amps in general are copies of the Peavey amps and they chose to use bias test points that measure the negative voltage in the bias circuit rather than the actual plate current draw of the tubes. This is not a very accurate way to set the bias.

The most accurate way to set the bias is to use a bias probe and a Multimeter, or our all-in-one Eurotubes "Pro One" bias probe that reads both the plate current and the plate voltage simultaneously. These are available under the "Related Products" tab. NOTE: you will need a socket saver to use under the bias probe because Bugera recesses the sockets below thew chassis!

You can use our Generic bias video for reference which we did on a Marshall 800 the procedure is the same.
