Looking for more warmth and definition? This is our standard Retube Kit for either a Black or Silver Face Twin or the Reissue 65 Twin Reverb. This kit contains four JJ ECC83S's and two JJ ECC81's with one balanced for the phase inverter in V6. The default power tubes are a matched quad of the JJ 6L6GC’s. However you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881’s by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Tube location info: The Balanced ECC81 is located in V6 closest to the power tubes and the standard ECC81 is located in V3.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

All you need to adjust the bias on a Twin is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias Twin Reverb amps between 35 to 40mA with the JJ 6L6GC's.
