Fender Super Reverb Standard Retube Kit with JJ ECC803S's

Do you like fat mids and little extra high end sparkle? This is our ECC803S Retube Kit. This kit contains four Long Plate JJ ECC803S's to replace the 12AX7's and two JJ ECC81's with one of them being current balanced for the phase inverter in V6. The JJ ECC803S's are a little lower in gain than the ECC83S's used in our standard kit. They have a very fat mid and a little hotter high end which gives a very vintage tone with lots of chime. The kit includes a JJ GZ34 and the default power tubes are the JJ Electronic 6L6GC’s but you can configure this kit to use the JJ 5881's or the JJ 6V6S's for a lower output and an earlier breakup by clicking on the "Customize" button.

Tube location info: The Balanced ECC81 is located in V6 closest to the power tubes and the standard ECC81 is located in V3.

All Combo amp Retube Kits are shipped with the Eurotubes Double Mica 6L6GC’s at no extra charge. JJ Electronic started building us a proprietary version of their 6L6GC (the 6L6GC-DM) in 2005 with extra layers of mica. This reinforces the plate structure and all but eliminates tube rattle symptoms.

All you need to adjust the bias on a Deluxe is a bias probe and a multimeter or the Eurotubes "Pro One". All of these are are available in the "Related Products" tab.

You can use the Deluxe Reverb bias video for reference. We typically bias Super Reverb amps between 36 to 44mA with the JJ 6L6GC's.
